Eat Your Way to Thicker Hair
“I always recommend my clients eat healthy fats for stronger, shinier hair," says Atkin, think oily fish like salmon and mackerel, avocado, nuts and olive oil. If your hair is in great condition, then it will look thicker and healthier before you've even reached for a styling tool. Fun fact: "walnuts are rich in omega oils, biotin, vitamin E, and copper which keeps your hair colour looking rich," adds Atkin.
Hairstyling "starts from within," says Atkin. "Our OUAI Supplements will you give you the vitamins you need to repair damage."

Containing green tea extract, niacin and biotin these supplements work to support healthy hair growth. Take one daily to combat breakage, reduce hair loss and restore lost lustre. You’ll see results after 90 days.
Limit Heat Damage
Heat tools are a sure-fire way to damage your hair if you're not using protection. To prevent thinning caused by heat, Atkin recommends, "you add in a heat protectant like our OUAI Hair Oil."

Blow-Dry Hair with Volume in Mind
"Whenever I want to get the most amount of volume I apply OUAI mousse at the roots and the Wave Spray at the ends on damp hair. Use a large round brush to get a full, voluminous look," advises Atkin.

"Once it is dry, use the OUAI texturizing hairspray throughout the hair for texture!" she adds.
Flip Your Hair Back and Forth
Whatever your hair texture, "flip your hair and blow-dry upside down to gain more volume," suggests Atkin.
"[Another] trick I use to increase volume on long hair [especially] is to change the part once I'm done styling. For example, once you're done styling the hair with a middle part, flip the hair to create a side part and you'll have more volume for your part," says Atkin.
Tease and Texturise Your Hair
On short hair, use Ouai Pomade to get texture and oomph into shorter strands.

To get serious volume at the roots, Atkins advises you, "part your hair in a 1-inch horizontal section and bring the hair up vertically, then backcomb the roots to create lots of volume." Do this across the whole of your crown and then gently brush the hair so it looks smooth and full.
Treat Your Scalp
If you want your hair to be in the best condition it can be and you want some natural volume at the roots, use a scalp scrub weekly. This will remove any unwanted dirt, grime, dead skin and product build-up that can contribute to weighing down your strands.
