5 Beauty Hacks from Celeb MUAs
From a bigger looking lips to the product we all need in our makeup bag to help us look so much better, we reveal 5 makeup hacks from celebrity MUAs.
Katie Jane Hughes's Healthy Glow
"The first time Rosie [Huntington-Whiteley] and I worked together, I didn’t use any blush on her, but she asked for it – and she genuinely looked so much better. Ever since then, I’ve loved blush, as it finishes a face in the best way. If you just go for healthy skin, a great brow and blush, you’ll look lovely."
Mario Dedianovic's Lip Lift
Using a lip pencil, overline the Cupid’s bow before following your natural lip line down to the corners. "By slightly overlining the Cupid’s bow area of the upper lip, the shape of the lip looks enhanced and the space between the nose and lip is shortened," explains Dedivanovic. Now, move to your lower lip and lightly overline the centre of your bottom lip to create the illusion of a lifted lip. "When slightly overlining the centre of the lower lip line and then drawing the liner upwards towards the outer corners of the mouth, lips get a lifted look."
Alexx Mayo's Oil Highlight
Lizzo's makeup artist, Alex, loves amping up highlighter with this simple trick. “I love layering highlighter, for an extra glow, I use a face oil on the high planes of the face for a finishing touch.”
Nikki DeRoest's Pin Point Powder
Nikki, who works with Addison Rae and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, has a simple technique for powdering your face involves using a small fluffy brush to zone in on the areas that you want to powder - between the brows, around the nose and the chin. Why powder this way? Well, the small brush enables you to be really precise about where you powder so you can leave areas glowy and fresh whilst avoiding any cakeyness.

Sam Fine's Blotting Trick
You know how makeup often looks better an hour or so after application, this trick fast-tracks that effect. Not just good for mattifying, blotting can help foundation look more natural and less cakey. Sam says, "after applying foundation, separate a two-ply tissue and use one piece to blot any excess oil to achieve a more skin-like finish.”
